Here is Ernest as Steve Martin in The Three Amigos! Team Schnauzer won “funniest costume” at this years Halloween Party as THE THREE AMIGOS. They had a great time while we drank hot cider with spiced rum….yummy.

Green River

Max and I arrived in the Berkshires this morning. We’re finally here and ready to soak up some sun, work in Joan’s garden, and cool off in the Green River. Ernest was excited to see us and seems to be having such a great time.

Berkshire Livin.....

Ernest has been hanging with his Gramma Joan for the last couple of days. He follows her everywhere and Joan gives him beef bones from the amazing Leahey Farm. I’m not sure he’ll want to come back to NYC.

Walks by the Water

During our walks by the water, Ernest LOVES to sit on the benches and people watch. It is his new favorite thing. And on hot days, he lays under them to stay cool.

Sting Ray

I brought back from Grand Cayman a small toy sting ray for Ernest. He loves to carry it around the house and “death shake” it. It’s a big hit.

Central Park Winter Playground

Central Park was still covered in snow and the boys love to run in it. Ernest eats the snow too…. Ernest was also really into running as fast as he can (which is really fast) through the bushes. Wellie and lucky would chase after him!

Post Christmas SNOW STORM!!

Ernest got one more present this Christmas…..his first romp through the snow! He can’t get enough of it and jumps around like a little snow bunny. These pics are from the dog run when the snow just began to fall- we now have something crazy like two feet, and he loves every inch of it!

A Beautiful Saturday at the Park

Despite the cold seeping into my fingers and toes, I love watching Ernest and Wellington thoroughly enjoy themselves in Central Park. It seems to be the one place that Ernest gets so excited about that he pulls on the leash to experience as much as he can as fast as he can. Needless to say, he slept the rest of the day.

Cookie Galore

Ernest and I spent a freezing (26 degree) afternoon baking around a warm (350 degree) oven. This time we made peanut butter cookies. I bought a little bone cookie cutter for a dollar at my favorite kitchen store, Broadyway Panhandler and made so many little Ernest size cookies I had to freeze most of them. Christmas Cookies

Ernest and I made Christmas cookies today! Well I made them and Ernest ate them. I got the recipe from the Organic Dog Biscuit Cookbook. They are made with pumpkin, which is suppose to be good on tummies. Ernest and his friend Lucky LOVE them. They were super easy and fun to make!

I LOVE hanging in Central Park with the dogs. They have such a great time and I always like to see Ernest running through the leaves. Such a beautiful day!

The Holiday Season Begins.....

Ernest’s Christmas stocking just arrived! This is his first holiday season and I think he is going to love it. I’m really excited to get him into some snow- I know his parents love the snow and I think he will too! Stay tuned for some holiday fun staring Ernest Ellerd!
